Here at the Farmers Insurance District 35 Austin Office, we are looking for confident, kind, and personable individuals interested in a great opportunity in customer service. In this full-time role, you will support clients with their insurance needs while delivering excellent customer service in an office setting.

We want someone who, beyond just answering calls and sending necessary emails, can proactively build lasting relationships with clients and ensure they are happy with their insurance experience. While preferred, no prior insurance experience is required. We offer comprehensive training and continuous coaching to help you succeed, and we provide licensing support should you aim to grow in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries regarding policies, billing, and coverage
• Assist with policy updates, changes, and documentation
• Provide customer support via phone, email, and in person
• Resolve client concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain accurate and organized client records
• Support daily office operations as needed

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills: you may take calls from clients filing a claim after a financial loss, and will need to remain patient, kind, and personable
• Organizational and time management skills, including scheduling multiple service calls and emails for updates and requests
• Basic computer proficiency, including comfort working with CRMs and frequent emailing
• Willingness to work in a team environment and communicate effectively in pursuit of handling insurance processes

Ready to build a real career in insurance — not just take a job? Farmers Insurance District 35 is hiring an Associate Agent to join an established agency in downtown Austin. You'll write new business, grow your own book of clients, and get direct mentorship from experienced agents and district leadership.

What You'll Do

• Meet with prospective clients to assess insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage
• Quote, write, and bind new policies
• Service and retain an existing book of business
• Build referral relationships and generate new leads within the Austin community
• Stay current on underwriting guidelines, product changes, and state regulations

What We're Looking For

• Texas insurance license (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health) preferred — candidates actively pursuing licensure and ready to obtain it quickly are also encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, coachable, and goal-oriented
• Comfortable with a sales-driven, activity-based role
• Prior insurance or sales experience preferred, not required
